Phoenix Perks for July at Paradise Valley Senior Center

“Phoenix Perks,” a series of entertaining and educational programs for active adults 45 and older, are offered daily at the city of Phoenix Paradise Valley Senior Center, 17402 N. 40th St.

Complimentary coffee is offered every Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. sponsored by the Paradise Valley Advisory Board.

Activities offered at the center at no cost include a visit by representatives from the Arizona Attorney General’s office discussing Fraud Fighters from 9 a.m. to noon on July 20 and a special Grandparent’s Day celebration from 9:15 a.m. to noon on July 23. Senior are invited to bring their grandchildren to the various activities including a puppet show at 9:15 a.m., face painting and clowns at 10 a.m. and music at 10:30 a.m.

Other activities include beginning line dancing at 2:30 p.m. and intermediate line dancing at 1:30 p.m. each Friday. Musical entertainment is offered at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Help celebrate with center attendees who have birthdays during the month of July at a special celebration at 10:30 a.m. on July 21.

An annual $10 registration fee for Phoenix residents is required and can be used at any of the city’s 15 senior centers. The fee is $20 for non-residents.

Participants will receive a membership card that allows them access to activities or services at senior centers, and parks and recreation facilities.
