About GYR Airport

The City of Phoenix bought and began operating Phoenix Goodyear Airport in July 1968. Prior to that, the airport was built and operated by the United States Navy. The airport is classified as a general aviation reliever airport for Sky Harbor. With one of the best general aviation runways in the country, Phoenix Goodyear Airport is poised to continue providing quality aeronautical services to our tenants. Phoenix Goodyear Airport is 2.2 miles south of Interstate 10 on Litchfield Road.
